Achieving a higher level of skill in any art relies on a solid foundation in the basics. LaoShi Rodell points out the common error in separating between deflection (defence) and countering (offence). Deflect-Countering must be a smooth, singular movement (单行/Dan Xing). Regardless of any practitioner's achievement, it is always beneficial to return to the source, the art’s core principles. Join us for an inspiring workshop where we will analyse and practice the seamless application of Deflecting-Catching-Countering to bring your swordplay and martial intent to a higher level. All styles of swordplay and beginners welcome.
Cost: $250 plus HST ($225 before February 1; bring a friend, $400 for both).
