Exploring the Benefits of Sun Style Tai Chi with Roseann McKay

This workshop is open to anyone who has studied any Tai Chi form.Participants will be aware of and experience these Tai Chi 

Principles in action:

  • SLOWNESS – Allowing enough time for the movement to actually ‘evolve and transform’ – from the very first step taken by the foot, through its transition phase as it travels in the body, to the movement’s final expression in the hands.
  • MINDFULNESS – This form will allow your mind to begin to ‘be present throughout the movement’ – sensing the presence of YIN/YANG qualities as they emerge.
  • LOOSENESS/ RELAXATION – Your body will learn to fully settle into your core in each and every movement.  You will become aware how any tension in any part of the body will not allow you to fully root, and will affect evenness and continuity of movement.
  • GENTLE RESISTANCE – This form has a very strong Qigong component.  From the outset, you experience the flow of Qi (Chi ) energy and its progression.
