Description:
Martial arts from all cultures emphasise the importance of controlling the centre. In Chinese swordplay, the centre line is called 子午線 (Zi Wu Xian) which translates as North-South or Rat-Horse Line. In this workshop LaoShi Rodell will teach the footwork, timing, tactic, psychology and combinations to take control of the opponent's center line. Students will practice paired "plays" that were carefully designed by LaoShi Rodell to help students develop the skills to carve their way into the opponent's defence.
Whether your art is empty handed, or bladed weapons from European traditions, the strategies covered in this workshop is universal to all martial arts.
