Beat the increase! Renew / join before July 1st, 2016!
CTF membership fees increased 1st July 2015 for the first time in a decade, and will do so again on 1st July 2016, to spread out the increase.
New single member fees are $45, up from $40, as of 1st July 2016; family memberships increase from $55 to $60.
Back in 1988, a new Taijiquan organization formed with the idea of building bridges between different styles, clubs and players. The membership fee was set at $25. The organization called itself the Canadian Taijiquan Federation, as you may have guessed by now.
The membership fee remained at $25 for more than 15 years. In 2005, the membership fee was increased to $35. In 2015… yes, folks, it’s that time again.
On Wednesday 1st July 2015, membership fees will increase by $5, to $40 per person. Family memberships will also increase by $5, to $55, up from $50. They will both increase by a second $5 on 1st July 2016, an overall increase of $10.
Want to beat the increase? (And who doesn’t like a bargain or a sale?) Renew your membership before 1st July 2016, either online, via mail, or in person at the AGM on Saturday 25th June 2016, and you’ll pay the current membership rate.
Your membership renewal date will move forward by a year but the actual day on the calendar page will remain unchanged. i.e. your renewal date of 15th October 2016 would become 15th October 2017 (or 2018, as the case may be—we noticed that someone has already taken advantage of this opportunity online).
